Google Launches Public Policy Blog

June 19th, 2007 by Sterling Hager

Very interesting. Here's how Frank Davies, MediaNews staff member at the Contra Costa Times opened his story this morning: Google raised its profile as a political player Monday, launching a public policy blog...

You can read Mr. Davies' story in its entirety at this link. But it is this new Google public policy blog you're probably most anxious to see, and here's the link to that.

This is an attempt to give the word "public" as in "public policy" new meaning. In other words, Google individuals can lobby government regulatory bodies privately over public policy matters the old fashioned way, just like every other big company, or they can go "public" with their version of the argument as well and enlist literally millions of Googlemania advocates in the battle.

If you run a company, lead a college, advocate for a special interest group, does this give you any ideas?
