ERP 2.0 for SAP?
July 19th, 2007 by Sterling Hager
This is a very short item from ZDNet Between the Lines writer Larry Dignan, but it may be very long on implications for large scale corporate applications like Enterprise Resource Planing (ERP). Much of the out-loud thinking in the piece questions whether or not 2.0-type user interfaces could give new life, and value, to enterprise-wide apps well-known for being somewhat cumbersome, hard to fathom and difficult to navigate. My opinion? It's inevitable. Two, those that figure it out first, win. Three, big companies like SAP didn't get that way because they are stupid.
